Weekends are all confusing

Hmm so where was I now... ahh yes. Last weekend. Well it turned out that the dinner organised by Derrick and Amanda (Ben's friends) was cancelled... thanks for telling me guys!
I was in the city anyways with cm and her friend Amanda (confused yet?) wandering around aimlessly. Oh that's right. It was some football match... Tigers... cowboys... eh zero interest from me, but it was good to get out for a bit anyways.
So yes we ended up at Star City after the match, it was quite uhh happening there. Then some band decided to cover U2 and we thought it was time to leave. They weren't exactly good.

So since the movie thing got cancelled, we just went straight back to Matto (after walking Amanda to the station, which is where I was parked anyhoo). The highlight of the evening was Ramen Kan, which has a place at Bondi now as well as the city. I had the Hot and Spicey Ramen and BOY... they don't lie. It was quite hot but also very flavoursome. I needed lots of water (I think I'm getting weak in my old age) but ah well. Cynthia wouldn't touch it teheh!

So yes that was of course before all the footeball hoohaa. Anyways yes that was pretty much my weekend (last weekend)... Oh wait... no no that was the weekend before last... hmm oh how they slip away so quickly these days.

Picked up my Marantz SR-7500 amp last week from my bro's place - dang... it drives them speakers hard. Now my sub is having lots of trouble keeping up... but turning down the volume makes it all OK. I rearranged the room tonight to try and get the most out of the sub, I think I have improved it a bit, but it's no match for all of the other speakers I have built now!

On the up-side, the auto config of the amp (with a supplied microphone) actually WORKS. It can detect how far each speaker is away from your listening position, which is pretty fwoa I think.

Otherwise last weekend (so not the long one) I did some servicing on my car, with the help of dad of course. Did the timing belt and drive belt (it was shot but eh it's been on there a while). Timing belt looked perfect but while we had it all apart... there was no way we were just going to skip doing that bit!! The car makes a bit of a noise now from the new belt, I think it might be a bit tight. It's only when it's warm, so I will give it a week to settle down, and if it's still not happy then we'll re-adjust the tension. Joy! More squeezing my hands into impossibly horrible places down the side of the engine.

Went out for afternoon tea with one of Mum's friends which was nice (at Kurrajong) and then picked up some junk (Heh well not really) from Judy's. Yes that was interesting to write here, not. I think I may have bored my audience now

Uhh yes and so comes to now, when I'm planning my new project (it's going to be quite a big one I fear) while drinking a mug of milo. mmmm! I finally found the new Crazy Doodle* (*not their real name) album to download, so I will grab that for a sample. I think I will still buy it anyhoo, but I'm not anywhere near a shop which would actually stock a copy for a few days...

That will do for now I think. I've spent enough money and I'm tired so I will go to bed.
