MySQL is A Shadow in the Mirror

Just a quick blog. Got home finally today after staying at Rex's place for 3 nights (whee!). I have to say it is good to be home, although staying at her place is also good! I do miss being around here... so it's very hard to have the best of both places.

Major news today is that I have 1 more day of Oracle e-business suite (aka Oracle Applications) training to do and then it's back to the office for me! I sure will miss the free lunches at the local food court... then again I wouldn't mind going back to my sandwiches all that much.

Tonight my Mum and Dad went to a book launch for a book written by my English teacher from High School. So I am now a proud owner of a signed copy of "Shadows in the Mirror" by Cameron Nunn! W00! He still remembers me which is great, considering I left in 2001. I have a fair amount of mail and other crap to go through - actually it's probably more like a few months worth. I generally just chuck everything important in one big pile... problem is I never get around to going through it. Oh well.

I tried to upgrade to the latest version of MySQL for my home server tonight only to discover that I also needed to upgrade phpmyadmin, and also php itself. Which is a slight pain in the neck. So I think I will do that all later on when I have more time and I don't need to get up in the morning on the next day. (damn school nights!!!).

I think there should be a movie night this weekend, proably saturday. I will try to badger people into coming but eh.. they're all so fat and lazy that they probably won't turn up anyways. I do have the most excellent movie of all time planned to be screened - the Super Mario Bros movie ... oh dear it is quite bad. Anyways if that won't make them come over - I don't know what will!

That's about it for now. Told ya it would be a quick one.
