Here we go again, wandering

Well I didn't do a great deal over the weekend, however I did manage to fit in some quality "home time" on Sunday. Saturday was mainly filled with inspecting houses with Rex and her parents in Randy Randwick and Kensington. It was quite interesting and I always enjoy having a look at open houses.

Nothing terribly amazing came out of it, but I guess she will keep on looking. The agent called today (aren't they lovely people) but I hope they don't bother Rex too much.

In other news I went for a bit of a wander on Sunday. After getting up in practically the afternoon, I wandered down Wattle St, through the fish markets car park, under the western distributor, past Channel 10 and Nova 969, up a big ramp and over the hill to Jackson's Landing. It's not too far away, and looks fairly nice, although there isn't much around there except for expensive units! After doing my own site tour, I then proceeded down Harris St until I got to the Western Distributor again, went down the lift into Darling Harbour, and then across to Town Hall. I then wandered down George St until I got past Central and to Gallery Kuno. After this I walked down Wattle St and back home again. It was a bit of a walk but it was good to get around a bit and check out what's about. I find there are a lot of hidden shops and restaurants which are difficult to find in this area, so you just have to get out there and have a look.

Then I finished off the day with a trip to Coles - but the shop was absolutely packed! Everyone must shop on a Sunday afternoon/evening for their groceries because there were lots of queues at all of the 18 or so registers, and no baskets or trolleys available. I've never seen it like that before... I managed to find a basket under one of the checkouts but *phew* it was a bit of a tiring experience I have to say.

Not too much to report from today except it was just another Monday in the office. It's pretty busy at work at the moment, which is a bit of a welcome change.

I'm listening to some 'Saint Germain des Pres Cafe' compilation album at the moment which is sounding pretty good thus far. There are 8 volumes of it, so I figured I'd start at volume 1... Some things in life just happen to make sense.

I've rearranged my room again so my computer is no longer hooked up to my TV. It's a little strange going back to a small 17" monitor but it is probably better on my eyes and neck...

That's about it for now. I made a bit of a killer stir fry last night from chicken and cashews and vegies and stuff, flavoured with ginger, fish sauce and soy sauce. Quite tasty I must say. There's only a little bit left now. It's almost midnight now and I really should be going to bed but I so feel like cooking. It's quite odd, but for some reason midnight is the time to be cooking for me. Not because I'm hungry now (well I am...) but just because I feel so much more inspired right now than I do at 7pm.

Anyhoos that will do for now.
