Yes, this blog title is Jumba, and that means you are now viewing this page from the new host - Jumba. I took the plunge.
I was getting a bit sick of the maintenance required to run a server at home. All the hassles of trying to keep it stable were just getting to me. So I decided it is time to retire Trogdor and hand over the responsibility to some 'professionals'.
So here we are. Jumba it is. I signed up for a reseller account so I can still provide hosting etc. to people but at least if it goes down - it won't be my fault (most of the time!!!).
That's about all the news for the moment. I'm still busily typing up my Japan Notes. I guess the whole migration of a dozen domains plus email plus websites to a new host does actually take longer than one day. Still, things are moving across alright.
Found out that I happen to be on the same server as Boyter. Which means I'm probably going to experience the same random page rendering time that he gets. Also, the server load is generally around 3 but can reach as high as 6, which is pretty bad. So I'd say this server is quite full of websites. I was hoping with a reseller account I would end up on a less-hammered server, but oh well. Such is life.
